Sylinda attended Utah State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Health Education. She then attended the University of Utah for her masters degree in Gerontology. It was during this time that she realized that she had a love and passion for supporting individuals to empower themselves through the life's difficult challenges. She was determined to make this goal a reality.

She returned to Utah State University for a 2nd master's degree. She obtained her Master of Social Work degree and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Meanwhile, she gained experience and certifications in working with clients with substance abuse, domestic violence and anger management.

Sylinda now specializes with trauma, depression, anxiety. She enjoys working with clients of all ages. Due to the success of her clients in her private practice, The Healing Center, Inc. was created and expanded to multiple locations.
